Regulated financial services group | CFO function | London
A UK financial services group is looking for a senior finance leader to own how it thinks about capital, liquidity and financial resilience across its regulated entities.
You’ll be the accountable Finance owner for the group’s prudential assessments and the capital and liquidity view that goes with them. You’ll advise the CFO and senior management on what the numbers mean for strategy.
What you’ll do
- Lead the prudential finance team and set its direction and standards
- Own the stress testing, recovery and wind-down framework
- Advise on capital allocation, dividends, intra-group funding and liquidity
- Write the prudential papers for the executive and the board, and present them
- Lead Finance’s engagement with the regulators
- Keep the controls, models and reporting behind it all robust
What you’ll bring
- Significant senior experience in prudential finance, regulatory capital or liquidity
- Real experience leading an ICARA or an equivalent prudential assessment
- Strong knowledge of UK prudential regulation
- The ability to explain complex regulation clearly to non-specialists
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), or similar
Helpful but not essential
- Experience in investments, insurance or another regulated sector
- Direct dealings with the FCA or PRA
- Experience across more than one regulated entity or regime
