Forde Recruitment, a leading provider of industrial and engineering recruitment solutions across South Yorkshire and surrounding areas, is currently recruiting for experienced CNC Millers to join a highly respected precision engineering company based in Sheffield.

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled CNC machinists with experience operating Hartford 2 (Fanuc) or Soraluce (Heidenhain) machinery within a busy manufacturing and engineering environment.

CNC Miller Responsibilities

  • Operating CNC milling machinery including Hartford 2 (Fanuc) and Soraluce (Heidenhain) controls
  • Manufacturing precision engineered components to exact specifications
  • Machining specialist materials including Inconel 718
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical data
  • Producing high-quality components while working to tight tolerances
  • Monitoring machine performance and maintaining production efficiency
  • Carrying out quality inspections using precision measuring equipment
  • Ensuring production schedules and machining targets are achieved
  • Maintaining safe working practices and supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Machinist, or Precision Engineer
  • Experience operating Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controlled machinery
  • Experience using Hartford 2 or Soraluce machines preferred
  • Knowledge or experience machining Inconel 718 or similar high-performance alloys
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Experience within aerospace, manufacturing, heavy engineering, or precision machining environments desirable

Shift Patterns Available:

  • Hartford / Fanuc Days Shift
    Monday to Thursday
    Flexible start time between 6:00am - 7:00am
    Finish approximately 2:30pm depending on start time
    Friday: 6:00am - 12:00pm
  • Soraluce / Heidenhain Days or Split Shift Available.
    Split Shift Pattern
    2 weeks on days
    2 weeks on afters
    Afters Shift
    Monday to Thursday
    4:00pm - 2:00am
    Flexible working arrangements may be available for the right candidate.
