Head of Programme

Reporting to: Managing Director, UK & Europe.

Location: London (flexible home office / hybrid working available). Your working hours may vary due to global portfolio of customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a remotely dispersed team, building relationships with team members based in Australia.
  • Navigate market disruption by educating customers about the company’s new products and services.
  • Overcome onboarding challenges posed by the nature of the business.
  • Key Deliverables (first 12 months)
  • Secure a 1‑year contract extension to December 2028.
  • Demonstrate strong relationships with internal and customer stakeholders.
  • Renew the contract successfully.

  • Flexible working, options such as home office / hybrid working; flexible hours due to global customer portfolio.

Qualifications – Hard Skills

  • Fully chartered engineering background in Railway Infrastructure (preferably civil or electrical).
  • Proven experience leading Projects and Programmes within the Railway industry.
  • Strong written communication skills, able to capture meetings, concepts, and information effectively.
  • Ability to operate alongside internal and external stakeholders.
  • Desirable: consultancy background.

Qualifications – Soft Skills

  • Mature approach to work culture.
  • Flexible in their approach to working.
  • Strong communicator (written and verbal) and able to manage multiple relationships.
  • Collaborative and keen to work closely with internal stakeholders.
