Overview

Join Ford as an HR Advisor focused on employee relations within a transforming, global organization. You will work with ER practitioners and HR BPs to handle casework, workplace conflicts, and broader HR capability building across talent management and HR transformation. This role offers hands-on exposure to case management, documentation, and evidence gathering while supporting fair, compliant processes. You’ll contribute to a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and high performance as Ford accelerates its EV and connected-vehicle agenda.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support in managing employee relations cases from intake to resolution
  • Prepare case documents, investigation notes, and formal correspondence with strict confidentiality
  • Track case progress, timelines, and outcomes; escalate risks to senior ER colleagues as needed
  • Support investigations by gathering evidence, arranging hearings, and liaising with witnesses and managers
  • Build knowledge of UK employment law, ACAS guidance, and Ford ER policies to ensure fair handling
  • Collaborate with trade unions, employee forums, and absence management processes
  • Coordinate with Occupational Health, Legal, and people managers on complex ER matters
  • Contribute to root-cause analysis of recurring ER issues and help design proactive interventions

Key requirements

  • Interest in Employee Relations and HR case management
  • 1-3 years HR Advisory/Employee Relations experience; trade unions experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to handle sensitive conversations
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to documentation
  • Discretion with highly confidential information and objective approach
  • Analytical mindset with confidence in HR data
  • Basic understanding of UK employment law and ACAS guidance; willingness to learn
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
