As a Fleet Key Account Manager, you will serve as the primary commercial strategist and trusted advisor for top-tier national fleet accounts across the UK. Working with key decision-makers—including Fleet Directors, Procurement Leads, and Sustainability Officers—you will provide consultative guidance on fleet optimization and electrification strategies.

Location: Dunton Campus (Basildon, Essex, UK)

Work Model: Flexible Hybrid (Mondays on-site in Dunton; 1 day remote; remainder Dunton campus or customer field visits)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

  • Proven B2B Key Account Sales Experience: Track record of managing high-profile national or enterprise accounts and consistently exceeding sales targets.
  • Consultative Selling Approach: Ability to understand complex client operations, translate technical capabilities into clear business value, and guide customers through change management.
  • Data Literacy & Analytics: Proficient in Excel, data manipulation, sales forecasting, and tracking customer-centric metrics (e.g., Net Promoter Score). Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
  • Strong Stakeholder Communication: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills across all management levels (both internal and external).
  • Industry & Mobility Interest: Strong commercial acumen with an interest in automotive, commercial fleets, telematics, or EV/electrification trends (prior automotive or leasing experience is preferred but not essential).
  • Growth Mindset & Drive: A customer-first mindset with high autonomy, resilience, and problem-solving initiative.

This position is based in Dunton, Essex and it is expected the successful candidate will be able to attend the Dunton Campus for at least 1 day a week and remain flexible on the days they are required to attend the office according to business requirements.

  • Strategic Account Management: Manage relationships with a portfolio of the UK's largest fleet clients, acting as their central point of contact and trusted advisor.
  • Ford Pro Ecosystem Integration: Identify customer needs to deliver complete Ford Pro solutions across vehicles, charging infrastructure, telematics software, and aftermarket services.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth: Achieve quarterly/annual sales objectives, maintain order-take targets against customer glide paths, and provide accurate sales and revenue forecasting.
  • Electrification Advisory: Consult with clients on their fleet decarbonisation strategies, guiding them from initial vehicle selection through charging setup and onboarding.
  • Stakeholder Facilitation: Collaborate cross-functionally with Ford dealers, vehicle converters, leasing partners, and internal Ford specialist teams to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Customer Success & Retention: Develop tailored customer success plans, champion customer satisfaction (NPS), and resolve operational issues to secure long-term client retention.
