The Role

We are recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to support a busy Fuel Shop operation based in Burton upon Trent. This is a hands-on position within a regulated engineering environment, focused on the inspection, installation, testing, fault finding and maintenance of fuel systems and associated test equipment supporting engine testing activity.

Key Duties

  • Fault find and diagnose fuel system issues linked to testing operations
  • Install, inspect and repair fuel systems and associated components
  • Test fuel pumps and injectors, accurately recording results
  • Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on test rigs

Essential Skills

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven engineering environment
  • Good knowledge of fuel system components including pumps and injectors
  • Clear focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement

Desirable

  • Background in rail or automotive environments
  • Experience working in regulated or safety-critical settings
