Job Title: Technician Location: Canton, Wales Salary: £63,413 per annum Contract: 2 Year FTC, Full-Time Shifts: Shifts including nights The Opportunity Ford & Stanley are working in partnership with CAF to recruit multiple Technicians for their depot in Canton . This is a rare chance to join one of the world’s leading rail manufacturers as they continue to expand their UK operations. These roles offer the opportunity to work with cutting-edge rolling stock and heavy engineering machinery. The Role As a Technician, you will play a key role in the maintenance, overhaul and reliability of CAF’s fleet. You will work as part of an established engineering team carrying out inspections, fault-finding, repairs and maintenance. Responsibilities include: Performing maintenance, servicing and fault-finding on rolling stock systems Mechanical or electrical overhaul of key components Working to technical drawings, schematics and maintenance procedures Diagnosing faults using tools, test equipment and onboard systems Supporting safe and efficient depot operations Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with safety standards About You We are seeking skilled, safety-focused Technicians with a background in heavy engineering. Ideal candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas: Mechanical backgrounds such as: Diesel engines (marine, bus, HGV, generators) Hydraulics, pneumatics, or heavy mechanical systems Electrical backgrounds such as: Automotive electrical systems HVAC, PLCs, control circuits, or industrial electrics Diagnostics and testing experience Additionally, you will bring: A recognised level 3 engineering qualification or above (eg.
