Technician Salary: £49,276.50 Hours: 40 Hours per week Shifts: Days and Nights Permanent: Full Time Location: Manchester Situation We’re looking for a talented Electrical Technician to ensure today’s rail systems run smoothly, safely, and reliably. If you thrive on tackling technical challenges, working with cutting‑edge diagnostics, and contributing to a team that delivers real impact, this could be your next move. Your New Opportunity As an Electrical Technician, you’ll be directly involved in maintaining a modern passenger train fleet, performing key servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, fault‑finding, and repair tasks.  Key Responsibilities Carrying out electrical fault‑finding across complex rail systems Replacing and installing electrical components Using advanced diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues Completing mechanical repairs and rectification where needed Uploading and updating onboard rail software systems Working alongside a supportive, experienced, and close‑knit engineering team  The Candidate Electrical background with a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent). Experience with IT systems, able to upload/download software updates. Knowledge of fault finding and testing equipment; both mechanical and electrical.
