The Opportunity

Ford & Stanley Talentwise are looking for a Technical Supervisor to work at a top UK tourist attraction in the heart of the capital, the London Eye. One of the UK’s most popular visitor attractions, the London Eye will be undergoing a huge revamp and upgrade project over the next 18-24 months and you will play an integral part of overseeing and bringing the 24 year old attraction into the 21st Century. This is an exciting Permanent position which includes carrying out daily checks and start-up/close procedures working a 12-hour day or a night shift on a rotating basis. You should feel comfortable working at heights, however full harness training will be provided. For the right candidate, this role is varied with no day being the same!

Salary: £52,996.83 P.A. + £3,500 Shift Allowance + Bonus + Overtime (potential earnings of £55,000 - £60,000)

Shifts: Working a mixture of days and nights - 12-hour shifts on a roster basis, which will include weekend and bank holidays as required.

Role and Responsibilities

  • You will be required to complete fault finding and planned preventative maintenance, to ensure the facility can operate and ensure guests can enjoy their day out.
  • Follow electrical schematics to ensure components are installed correctly.
  • Ensure planned preventative maintenance is completed in accordance with timescales.
  • Complete fault finding to ensure components are running correctly and safely.
  • Be confident and able in working from heights (full training provided).

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be electrically biased with experience of fault finding within a FMCG, Marine, Aviation, Rail or an Ex-Forces background.

Essential

  • Excellent base salary (£52,996.83 P.A + £3,500 Shift Allowance) with a strong bonus scheme and the opportunity for overtime could lead to expected earnings of £55,000 - £60,000 P.A
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) minimum qualification
  • Fault finding and root cause analysis experience
  • Able to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematic diagrams
  • Use of diagnostic software
  • Use of test and measuring equipment
