Based around Oxford, Bristol and surrounding areas. 35 hours per week | Monday–Friday (9:00–16:30). Company van, fuel card & tablet provided.

Are you a hands-on, proactive engineer with a passion for creating safe, efficient, and well-maintained workplaces? We’re looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer to support the management of a diverse property portfolio and ensure high-quality facilities services across multiple sites in the region.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day building maintenance, compliance, and operational support helping to deliver a first-class environment for colleagues, customers, and visitors. You’ll work closely with contractors, internal teams, and the Facilities Manager while having autonomy to solve problems and keep sites running smoothly.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across mechanical, electrical, and building fabric systems.
  • Supporting Total Facilities Management across both operational and tenanted properties.
  • Working with external contractors and internal teams to meet service standards and deadlines.
  • Assisting with small-scale projects such as refurbishments and estate improvements.
  • Carrying out practical maintenance tasks including door repairs, lighting fixes, PAT testing, basic plumbing, and general building upkeep.
  • Keeping accurate maintenance records and ensuring compliance with statutory and internal requirements.
  • Identifying risks, hazards, and repair needs, escalating appropriately.
  • Supporting audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with procedures.
  • Participating in emergency response or out‑of‑hours support when required.
  • Contributing ideas to improve efficiency, service quality, and overall site performance.

What we’re looking for:

  • Background in facilities, building services, or a similar multi-skilled engineering role.
  • A recognised trade qualification in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or building fabric.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the confidence to act without being prompted.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and facilities management practices.
  • Comfortable using CAFM systems and following planned maintenance schedules.
  • Detail-focused with a strong commitment to health & safety.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative working style.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region.
  • IOSH or equivalent H&S certification is an advantage, as is experience working with KPIs, SLAs, and contractor management.
