About Us
You will have the opportunity to work as a Mechanical Technician for an established diesel locomotive maintenance depot based in Nottingham. We specialise in servicing, maintenance, heavy engineering, and full overhauls of locomotives. We are now looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician with locomotive experience to join our team, with a strong background in servicing, maintenance, and overhauls—particularly on Class 60 locomotives.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out locomotive servicing including A, B, and F exams
- Perform safety-critical work in line with industry standards
- Brake re-blocking and maintenance
- Bogie and power unit refurbishments
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Load banking operations
- Pressure washing of locomotives
Skills Experience
- Proven experience in locomotive servicing, maintenance, and heavy engineering
- Experience working on Class 60 (Mirrlees traction) is highly desirable
