About the Role: We have secured a warranty project with our Rail client to maintain and troubleshoot advanced rail door systems across four key UK locations. We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join the team and play a critical role in ensuring reliability and safety on rolling stock.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate, fault-find, and rectify issues on rail door systems at various rail sites.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting tasks (not installation work).
- Provide technical support and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Travel to Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool, and Cardiff as required.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential: Strong hands-on experience with door systems (fault finding and maintenance).
Desirable: Knowledge of electrical door systems. Mechanical qualifications or equivalent experience. Ability to work independently and adapt to different rail environments. Must be based in or commutable to Milton Keynes for ease of dispatch.
