Mechanical Technician Salary: £33.54 per hour (Inside IR35) Hours: 40 per week Contract: 6‑month rolling (18 months’ worth of work) Shifts: Earlies & Lates Location: Chester About the Role If you thrive as a Mechanical Technician on momentum, precision, and engineering that actually makes an impact, this is where you belong. What You’ll Be Doing: Carrying out mechanical maintenance in line with technical instructions and procedures. Completing mechanical repairs and reliability-based maintenance activities. Reporting progress and issues to Team Leaders and Production Managers. Adapting to changing shift patterns and operational requirements. What You’ll Need: Strong mechanical maintenance skills. Previous rail experience is preferred, but candidates from automotive, plant/HGV, aviation, or military engineering are highly encouraged to apply.
