Mobile Mechanical Fitters required to complete maintenance, exams and breakdowns to various fleets of trains and rolling stock. To succeed in this role, you will ideally have experience of rolling stock or in an automotive position such as HGV or PSV. Alternatively, perhaps you worked as a Master Technician maybe on light vehicles or light goods vehicles or cars? Or maybe you are ex-forces or in the forces looking to join civilian life, then this could be the opportunity you have been looking for! Location: Base location: Rugby Will require travel to different locations Salary Starting salary between £38,000 & £42,000, overtime, van and fuel card & training in competence to bring salary to circa £46,000 +  Role and Responsibilities • Complete maintenance activities to locomotives and rolling stock. • Undertake mechanical and some electrical repairs to fleets of trains. • Carry out unsupervised tasks. • Ensure relevant maintenance exams are completed safely. The Candidate The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working on diesel engines and a strong understanding of mechanical maintenance, along with an electrical appreciation.
