The Opportunity:
Are you a skilled Diesel Mechanic with a passion for engines and hands-on maintenance? On behalf of our client, Ford & Stanley Talentwise, we are hiring experienced professionals to support the servicing, maintenance, and overhaul of mission-critical diesel engines used across the rail, bus, and HGV sectors.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-performance diesel power units, ensuring reliability and safety in demanding transport environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform routine and reactive maintenance on a wide range of diesel engines
- Conduct full engine overhauls, including strip-down, rebuild, and testing
- Diagnose faults using mechanical and diagnostic tools
- Ensure engines meet performance and safety standards
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Candidate Essentials:
- Level 3 qualified in relevant industry
- Proven experience as a mechanically biased technician
- Strong working knowledge of diesel engine systems, components, and diagnostics
- Comfortable with hands-on fault finding, repair, and testing
- Background in rail, ex-forces, plant, or HGV sectors is highly desirable
- Holds a full UK Driver’s License
Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualified in relevant industry
Desirable:
- Diesel engine experience on Plant Machinery, HGV/PSVs/Armoured Vehicles
