This role begins on a 19‑week temporary basis, with a clear pathway into a secure, permanent position. The engineering team is known for its high standards, strong training culture, and the ability for technicians to comfortably earn £50,000+ once settled into the permanent structure.
Key Responsibilities
- As a Mechanical Technician, you’ll be maintaining and repairing a varied commercial fleet and supporting equipment. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Diagnostics and fault-finding on commercial vehicles
- Full servicing and repairs across the fleet
- Hydraulics and pneumatics maintenance
- Work on air brake systems (ABS / EBS)
- Engine and driveline overhauls
- Electrical wiring and system installs
- MOT preparation and inspections
- Preventative maintenance across all equipment
Pay Rates (Umbrella)
- Grade 1: Days: £26.83 p/h Nights: £31.32 p/h
- Grade 2: Days: £25.96 p/h Nights: £29.50 p/h
