An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious HR professional to join a well-established engineering company that is currently undergoing a significant period of transformation and growth.
As an HR Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting the development of a modern, proactive and people-focused HR function. Reporting into the Head of Business Support, you'll initially provide hands-on HR administration support whilst gaining exposure to broader people, culture and organisational development activities.
This is far more than a traditional HR administration position. You'll have the opportunity to support employee engagement initiatives, onboarding programmes, training and development activities, HR systems improvements and wider business transformation projects. Working alongside an experienced leadership team, you'll gain valuable exposure to organisational change and strategic people initiatives while accelerating your own professional development.

HR Administrator Responsibilities
- Provide HR administration support across the full employee lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files and HR documentation.
- Support onboarding and induction processes for new employees.
- Assist with training, development and employee engagement initiatives.
- Support HR systems improvements and digitisation projects.
- Assist with the development and modernisation of HR policies, procedures and documentation.
- Coordinate employee communications and support internal engagement activities.
- Support organisational change and business transformation projects.
- Ensure HR records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
- Assist with reporting and HR data administration.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the people function.
- Build effective working relationships with employees and stakeholders across the business.
- Provide general administrative support to the wider HR and Business Support teams.
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within a HR Administration role.
- CIPD Level 3 qualified or currently studying towards a recognised HR qualification.
- Demonstrable commitment to building a long-term career within Human Resources.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Experience maintaining employee records and HR documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
- Positive, proactive attitude with a desire to learn and develop.
- Experience supporting people-related projects or process improvements would be advantageous.
Location & Working Arrangements
Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield, office-based.
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
Salary
£32,000 - £35,000 per annum
