You will work closely with experienced engineers and project teams, developing your technical expertise while contributing to the successful delivery of high-profile projects. Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake and supervise ground investigation works across rail, highways, and civil engineering projects.
  • Carry out soil and rock logging in accordance with relevant industry standards.
  • Support site investigations, monitoring installations, and geotechnical testing activities.
  • Record, manage, and interpret geotechnical data collected from site investigations.
  • Prepare technical reports, factual ground investigation reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Support project delivery teams to achieve programme and client objectives.
  • Participate in safety-critical rail activities where required.
Essential Skills
  • MEng, MSc, BEng, or BSc in Engineering Geology, Geology, Physical Geography, or a related discipline.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Ability to pass Personal Track Safety (PTS) medical, drug and alcohol screening, and training requirements.
  • Experience or understanding of ground investigations and site-based geotechnical activities.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and travelling to project sites nationwide.
