Assistant Project Manager (Geotechnical Background)

Salary: 33,000 - 40,000 + Monthly Bonus incentives The Opportunity This role is ideal for an experienced geotechnical professional looking to transition from a predominantly site-based role into project management.

Working within a growing project management team, you will manage smaller-scale geotechnical and ground investigation projects while receiving support and mentorship from senior project managers.

You will play a key role in coordinating field operations, managing resources, and ensuring project objectives are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.

This position offers a clear pathway towards a full Project Manager role.

Key Responsibilities Assist with the management and delivery of ground investigation and rail infrastructure projects.

Coordinate field teams, subcontractors, plant, and specialist suppliers.

Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Monitor project performance against programme, budget, and quality requirements.

Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and operational teams throughout project lifecycles.

Prepare project documentation, reports, and commercial updates.
