This role sits within a collaborative design office and focuses on translating customer and sales requirements into detailed 3D designs and manufacturing drawings. Working closely with production, sales, and engineering teams, you will contribute to the delivery of bespoke crane and hoist solutions manufactured on-site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret sales specifications and customer requirements
  • Produce 3D CAD models and General Arrangement drawings
  • Create detailed manufacturing drawings for cranes, hoists, and related components
  • Select appropriate components and materials for manufacture
  • Provide technical support to production and shop floor teams
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Occasionally support site visits where required

Requirements
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (any package considered; Solid Edge advantageous)
  • Background in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Design Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years' relevant industry experience
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
