EC&I Site Manager / Glasgow / Up to £55 per hour (OUTSIDE IR35) / Security Cleared
Our client is spearheading an innovative, security-cleared construction initiative that is set to redefine industry standards. This role is a unique opportunity for an experienced EC&I professional to lead commissioning on state-of-the-art automated systems within a high-security environment. Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Leadership: Directly manage all commissioning activities on site, ensuring the seamless integration of systems such as conveying systems, special purpose machinery, and lifting equipment.
- Commissioning Excellence: Lead comprehensive testing and commissioning procedures, ensuring that all systems operate reliably within strict security protocols.
- Test Documentation: Write, generate, and maintain detailed test documentation and commissioning reports; proven technical writing skills are highly beneficial.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Utilise extensive experience with automated systems and variable speed drives to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear, effective communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to uphold project milestones and technical standards.
- Security Compliance: Rigorously adhere to security clearance requirements and ensure that all project activities comply with high-sensitivity protocols.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- SC Clearance (or the ability to obtain it)
- Proven Expertise: A seasoned test and commissioning engineer with extensive experience bringing automated systems online in a secure environment.
- Technical Mastery: Demonstrated proficiency in commissioning systems such as conveying systems, special purpose machinery, and lifting equipment.
- Solid track record of generating precise and comprehensive test documentation.
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with an ability to drive results in a challenging environment.
- Detail-Oriented: A meticulous professional who excels in testing, commissioning, and document management to uphold the highest quality and safety standards.
