Ford & Stanley are delighted to be partnering with a leading national trade association to appoint a Communications Executive to their Derby-based team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious communications professional to become a key voice for a vital national industry. Supporting a diverse membership of supply chain organisations, you will play a pivotal role in keeping the sector informed, engaged, and connected. This is a fast-paced, execution-focused position where you will have the autonomy to suggest new content ideas, attend industry events, and transition from delivery to strategy as you progress. Responsibilities

  • Member Engagement: Draft, edit, and distribute high-quality content, including weekly newsletters and digital Quarterly Updates for a national membership base.
  • National Campaigns: Take responsibility for day-to-day social media channels and website updates, ensuring all digital content is engaging and timely.
  • Content Creation: Attend events to gather delegate feedback and insights, turning them into high-impact social media posts, write-ups, and digital brochures.
  • Campaign Management: Manage email distribution lists and use platforms like Mailchimp to segment audiences, track engagement metrics, and report on performance.
  • Brand Advocacy: Ensure all messaging remains consistent with the organisation's professional tone and brand guidelines across all external stakeholder-facing platforms.

The Candidate

  • Experience: You must have at least 1 year of experience in a similar communications, marketing, or PR role.
  • Writing Excellence: A high standard of written English is non-negotiable. You have a sharp eye for detail and the ability to write for a professional, external stakeholder audience.
  • Technical Savvy: Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp) and Content Management Systems (CMS) is highly beneficial.
  • Dynamic Mindset: You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Engagement: A genuine interest in learning about a complex industry and the diverse organisations that support the UK's infrastructure.

Location

Derby (with hybrid working options 1 day WFH per week once settled into the role). Occasional travel to external events is required.

Salary

Up to £30,000 + Aviva Private Healthcare, enhanced sickness pay, and a holiday allowance that increases with service (starting at 25 days + Bank Holidays).
