The Situation
Ford and Stanley are partnered with the UK’s leading part supplier to the railway industry, with deep expertise across Infrastructure, Traction, and Rolling Stock.
Working out of one of their manufacturing sites, they are seeking a Category Manager to develop and execute category strategies that maximise value and drive competitive advantage across direct and/or indirect materials and strategically lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a strategically minded procurement professional to work in one of the UK\’s most respected organisations in a high-impact sector
You will get to take full ownership of your own Category (s), seeking to maximise its efficiency & profitability
You will make autonomous decisions on future strategies, managing an annual spent of c.£5m.
You will have a high degree of involvement in making major improvements to the supply chain and be key in drastically improving supplier relations and consolidating the supply chain.
Location
Doncaster – Hybrid working (3 days in office p/week)
Salary
£45,000 + £3,6000 car allowance (£300p/month)
