Payroll Manager β Central London (Permanent Role)
Hybrid/Flexible Working | Free Rail Card | Β£50-55K
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Payroll Manager to join our team in Central London. This is a permanent opportunity to lead and manage all aspects of payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage four-weekly payroll cycles with a focus on accuracy and validation.
- Be the main point of contact for payroll queries from employees and line managers.
- Perform gross-to-net calculations, including statutory payments (SMP, SSP, etc.).
- Act as the subject matter expert on payroll legislation and compliance.
- Maintain delegated authority protocols and specimen signature lists.
- Oversee the relationship with Midland HR (iTrent), ensuring system efficiency.
- Work closely with HR on pay awards, harmonisation, bonuses, and organisational changes.
- Lead the tax year-end process, including P11D production.
- Calculate and process maternity and paternity pay.
- Liaise with HMRC to resolve queries and ensure timely PAYE/NI payments.
- Prepare weekly payroll cashflows for Treasury and highlight variances.
- Submit monthly payroll data to the Office for National Statistics.
- Provide timely reporting to HR, Finance, and management.
- Notify Treasury of AVC payments for RPMI.
- Prepare the annual Gender Pay Report.
- Manage bonus payments and pay uplifts across staff grades.
