An Analytical individual is required to join the UKs largest supplier to the Railway Industry. The Inventory & Forecasting Team are ultimately responsible for ensuring that the business runs as efficiently as possible by ensuring stock levels throughout all of the warehouses are at the right level in line with future demand and forecasts.

The Forecast Analyst is an integral part of the team, and will have ownership of the stock level management for a full area of the business/inventory. You will be responsible for monthly forecasts and work closely with varied internal teams to provide quality inventory information as required. This is an opportunity for a naturally analytical professional to gather data, assess, interpret, and analyse, to produce accurate inventory forecasts. You will be working closely with data on a large scale, ensuring that min/max levels accurately reflect the demand levels.

Overtime, you will be an expert user of the inventory management system, and will be responsible for authorizing/approving high value orders that come through the system to ensure they accurately align to business needs.

Location & Working Model: Doncaster, 2-3 days in office per week

Salary: £27,000 p/year

  • A degree in a numerically orientated or supply chain field
  • Experience using Excel
  • Interest in data analysis & understanding of forecasting principles
  • Strong interpersonal & relationship building skills
