Who are we looking for as a Warehouse Operative:
- You will have a positive can-do attitude to complete hands-on tasks.
- Be computer literate with the ability to learn appropriate systems and software and then use them confidently and efficiently, as this position is approx. 50% computer work.
- The ability to accurately input data, and attention to detail, is crucial to the success of this role.
- Self-motivated to locate and process goods inwards in a timely manner.
- FLT experience would be preferable.
- Good time keeper and ability to work on your own initiative.
- Any experience in a parts or distribution operation involving inventory control, goods inwards, goods returns and order picking would also be an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided.
The Warehouse Operative role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Placing inbound parts into the correct locations.
- Identifying and picking outbound parts for distribution.
- Control, package and data input the return of parts to suppliers.
- Ensure the stores are tidy and organised, with a high standard of location accuracy.
- Maintain the correct labelling of all stores locations.
- Ensure there is always a quick and efficient response to customer and depot requirements.
- Competent housekeeping of the warehousing area.
- Where applicants hold a driving licence, there will also be occasional driving duties as and when required, subject to driving licence checks.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am β 4:30pm (need to be flexible as OT can be required at short notice). Saturdays β As required.
