Ford and Slater are one of the UK’s largest DAF Truck dealers group with 16 locations from Norwich to Birtley in the North East, employing over 900 staff whilst remaining a family run business. We currently have an exciting position as a Parts Advisor in the fantastic team at our DAF Trucks dealership in Leicester.

Who are we looking for as a Parts Advisor:

  • You will have previous experience working as a Parts Advisor or similar role, within the commercial vehicle, motor trade or an associated sector.
  • Or have a passion for trucks and know your truck / car parts.
  • A customer focused, sales driven individual, with excellent communication skills.
  • Understand the need to be flexible. We operate to accommodate our customers’ needs and some may fall outside of contracted hours.
  • Ability to build customer relations and communicate in a professional, helpful and friendly manner.
  • PC Literate.
  • Full UK driving licence.

The Parts Advisor role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • You will provide a professional parts sales service to internal and external customers face to face, over the trade counter, online, telephone and various other platforms.
  • Promote and encourage growth of the parts business.
  • Utilise all parts identification tools to ensure effective and efficient customer response.

Core working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5:30pm.
