We currently have a vacancy for an HGV Technician / Workshop Supervisor working on Night shift at our Sheffield depot.

Who are we looking for as an HGV Technician / Workshop Supervisor:
- Previous Workshop Supervisor experience working as a Technician / Mechanic within the HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car or an associated sector.
- Ideally have served a recognised apprenticeship or training programme.
- Qualified to Level 3 (C&G, NVQ or equivalent) in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Excellent technical knowledge ensuring maintenance and repairs are carried out to manufacturer’s procedures.
- Sound knowledge to accurately diagnose faults.
- Ability to carry out safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT's.
- Skills to follow company processes for completing all paperwork including accurate completion of job cards and service records.
- General level of computer literacy.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Class 1 licence preferred.
- Own tools.
The HGV Technician / Workshop Supervisor role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Managing a team of HGV Technicians.
- Ensure workshop activities are compliant with Health and Safety legislation.
- Allocate work to the Workshop and complete job cards.
- Servicing and maintaining a wide variety of Trucks and Vehicles.
- Fault Diagnostics.
- MOT Preparation.
- Mechanical and Electrical repairs.
- Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.
- Road test vehicle when required, subject to licence restrictions.
- Attend any technical or development training that is made available.
