We currently have a vacancy for an HGV Technician working night shift, in the fantastic team at our DAF Trucks Depot in Corby.
As an HGV Technician, we can offer you:
- Earnings of £43,000 to £52,000 per year (depending on your HGV Technician experience and working pattern)
- 4, 10 hour nights, Monday to Friday
- Overtime at premium rates

Who are we looking for as an HGV Technician:
- You will have previous experience working as an HGV Technician / Mechanic within the HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car or an associated sector.
- Or if you’re a Light Commercial or Car Technician who would like to transfer your skills, then we can offer you training to become an HGV Technician.
- Ideally have a qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Skills to follow company processes for completing all paperwork including accurate completion of job cards and service records.
- General level of computer literacy is advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence.
The HGV Technician role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Servicing and maintaining a wide variety of Trucks and Vehicles.
- Fault Diagnostics.
- MOT Preparation.
- Mechanical and Electrical repairs.
- Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.
- Road test vehicle when required, subject to licence restrictions.
- Attend any technical or development training that is made available.
Shift Pattern: 4, 10 hour nights, Monday to Friday.
