Production Operative – 12‑Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Dagenham Engine Plant, East London

Ford Motor Company Limited is recruiting Production Operatives on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to support manufacturing operations at Dagenham Engine Plant. This role is part of ongoing operational demand and workforce planning. On‑site practical assessments will take place over the coming months as part of the selection process. Previous manufacturing experience is not essential, as full training will be provided, although experience in a production or industrial environment would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Work on assembly and manufacturing tasks within a fast‑paced production environment
  • Carry out repetitive but highly important tasks to exact quality standards
  • Maintain focus, accuracy, and consistency throughout the shift
  • Follow Ford’s safety, quality, and operational procedures at all times

You must be able to stand for extended periods throughout the working day and be comfortable working in a physically demanding, on‑site manufacturing role. Shift pattern attitude, reliability, and focus are key.
