Ford’s Office of Tax Counsel is seeking a motivated and technically strong UK Tax Accountant to support the delivery of high‑quality corporate tax compliance, reporting, and advisory services. This role offers broad exposure across UK corporation tax, tax accounting, R&D claims, and transfer pricing, with opportunities to collaborate closely with finance teams, European tax colleagues, and wider stakeholders. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting ongoing digital transformation within the Tax function, contributing to process improvement, accuracy, and compliance in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit UK corporation tax computations and returns
- Support tax accounting and provisioning under US GAAP and UK statutory reporting
- Assist with UK R&D tax credit claims
- Liaise with HMRC and manage UK tax authority interactions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Tax, Finance and the wider business
- Support Transfer Pricing analyses and documentation
- Identify and contribute to digital transformation initiatives within the Tax function
- Provide tax support on ad‑hoc and regional initiatives, including collaboration with European tax teams
Qualifications
The minimum requirements we seek:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) and/or Chartered Tax Advisor (0–3 PQE)
- Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax
- Experience gained in either professional practice or an in‑house tax function
- Working knowledge of UK GAAP
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under time pressure
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general systems capability
Desirable
- Alphatax experience
- Exposure to US GAAP
- UK employment tax / benefits taxation experience
