Ford Mainwaring is a privately owned business with over 45 years of experience in mechanical and electrical installations and maintenance. We are a reputable established business with a strong operational spread across the UK. We provide the full range of Facilities Management and M&E services including refurbishment and repair, planned maintenance, installation, energy conservation and project design.

We are currently growing our business, and our office team and as a result we have a brand-new opportunity for a Resource Coordinator to support our operations team and keep things running smoothly, joining part of a small and relaxed team, many of whom have been with the business a number of years. You will provide direct support to the operations team by coordinating our engineering workforce across multiple contracts, managing planned and reactive works. This includes ownership of the engineering planner, managing work in progress and ensuring jobs are progressed through to completion.

This is an ideal role for someone with experience coordinating a mobile workforce or working in a helpdesk style environment, particularly within facilities management or construction. If you’re organised, calm under pressure and comfortable liaising with engineers, clients and our management team, this role offers real variety and responsibility. Please note: Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.

What we need from you:

  • A proactive and organised Administrator who is comfortable multitasking using your own initiative.
  • Confident people person and team player who is comfortable liaising with engineers, clients and providing updates to our management team.
  • Ability to keep records accurate and up to date, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience of Microsoft packages (including Outlook, Word & Excel) and a CAFM or CRM management system.
  • Previous experience within an engineering or construction business would be ideal, but is not essential as we’ll provide the support and training you need.
