Ford Mainwaring is a privately owned business with over 45 years of experience in mechanical and electrical installations and maintenance. We are a reputable established business with a strong operational spread across the UK. We provide the full range of Facilities Management and M&E services including refurbishment and repair, planned maintenance, installation, energy conservation and project design.
We are currently growing our business, and our office team, and as a result we have a new opportunity for a HSQE Advisor. In this role you will play a key role in ensuring health, safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures are implemented and maintained across the business. You will promote a positive safety culture, ensure legislative compliance, support with RAMS and investigate accidents and non-conformances.
A key part of the role will involve being out and about visiting our sites and engineers, carrying out audits and inspections across engineers, sites, projects and procedures. You will also manage business accreditations and ISO systems, review contractor documentation, produce HSQE reports and help ensure compliance is maintained across the business.
This is a stand alone role, supported by our management team. You will be required to manage your own workload and split your time between the office and site visits. You will report into our Managing Director and be part of a small and relaxed team, many of whom have been with the business for many years.
Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.
The role of HSQE Advisor will include:
- Ensure compliance with relevant HSQE legislation, standards and procedures.
- Promote a positive health, safety, quality and environmental culture across the business.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances.
- Carry out site inspections and audits across engineers, sites, projects and procedures.
- Support with RAMS, HSQE documentation and reporting.
- Manage business accreditations, ISO systems and internal and external audits.
What we need from you:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and industry accreditations.
- Experience in building services, construction or engineering preferred.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Full driving licence, own vehicle and willingness to travel.
