Ford Fuels is a family run fuel, lubricant, and AdBlue distribution business supplying both commercial and domestic customers. An opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Credit Controller to join our Farrington Gurney Depot. The role will involve chasing overdue invoices by telephone, email and letter, and ensuring that all debts are paid in a timely manner. As a Credit Controller, you will provide a high level of customer service at all times, be resilient, a problem solver, and be highly organised.

About the role:

  • 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 17:00pm (1 hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Fully office based
  • Managing held order reports
  • Chasing overdue invoices by telephone, email and letter within agreed timescales
  • Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner
  • Dealing with internal queries regarding payments
  • Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
  • Handle disputed bills and negotiate to bring payment within agreed terms
  • Provide accurate advice on billing queries
  • Respond promptly and completely to both clients and internal enquiries
  • Banking Allocations
  • Credit Checks
  • Provide high levels of customer service
  • To assist with other duties as and when required

About you:

  • Experience in a similar role (desirable)
  • Credit controller qualifications (desirable)
  • Great communication skills
  • Confidence to be assertive with individuals and companies who owe money
  • Customer service experience
  • IT Literate - experienced in Microsoft Office Packages
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good time management
