Residential Child Care Worker – 30 Hours
Ford Family Trust is seeking a Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Dove Adolescent Services. This part‑time, 30‑hour per week role requires a dedication to caring for children and young people, and offers opportunities for professional development.
Salary
- Unqualified: base £19,812 with potential up to £24,132 (sleep shifts)
- Qualified (Level 3 or equivalent): base £20,233.20 with potential up to £24,553.20 (sleep shifts)
Location: Services across Pontefract, Wakefield, Doncaster, Eggborough, and Barnsley.
Contract hours: 30 hours per week.
Job Description
- Promote safeguarding and protecting the welfare of young people.
- Establish and maintain positive and trusting relationships.
- Encourage development of individual interests.
- Participate in activities ensuring a homelike environment.
- Work autonomously with guidance from supervisors.
- Be available for weekends, bank holidays, and sleep‑in duties.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience supporting vulnerable young people is desirable but not essential.
- Commitment to flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Willingness to undertake sleep‑in duties as part of a flexible rota.
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
- Desire to engage, motivate, and support young people.
