Financial Reporting Supervisor

Lead the accuracy and timeliness of Ford Credit’s consolidated IFRS reporting. This senior role integrates with the Senior Leadership Team via Coordination of Disclosure Committee Meetings. You will drive the monthly IFRS close, own the production of FCE’s Annual Report & Accounts, and act as the key point of contact for auditors, systems teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders. Flexibility is required to meet strict reporting deadlines.

Location: Dunton (typically 4 days a week on‑site, with flexibility on the days as required by the business)

Financial Reporting at Ford Credit ensures FCE’s consolidated financial statements are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time under IFRS. This role reports directly to the Manager, Financial Reporting, and shapes how the team delivers monthly and quarterly close, interim reporting, and annual accounts while continuously improving processes.

Key Responsibilities

Monthly Close

  • Lead the monthly/quarterly IFRS close process for FCE.
  • Review and approve all IFRS journals, subledger, and month‑end checks.
  • Produce monthly financial statements, including variance analysis and a US GAAP to IFRS reconciliation.
  • Arrange and lead the quarterly IFRS deck review with the CEO/CFO.
  • Approve the monthly IFRS timetable and take ownership of all close‑related issues.

Annual Account Preparation & External Reporting

  • Lead the production of the Annual Report & Accounts for both FCE Company and its Group, ensuring on‑time delivery and consistently high quality.
  • Produce the project timeline, coordinate management reviews, and function as project manager.
  • Coordinate and review FCE’s Financial Statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Changes in Equity, Cashflow Statement, and notes to Accounts.
  • Lead the preparation of FCE’s strategic report, coordinating with all individual contributors.
  • Function as the main point of contact for audit queries, supporting FCE auditors in managing internal teams and functions.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Ford Credit Global Business Centre (FCGBC) team managing account preparation in Workiva.
  • Collaborate with the Company Secretary to ensure timely filing with Companies House.
  • Partner with IT and Corporate Communications to ensure timely publication of accounts on the Investor website.
  • Following audit completion, gather feedback and lessons learned, coordinating improvements for the next cycle.
  • Support the half‑year Interim Profit verification process when required by FCE Treasury.
  • Lead the coordination and preparation of half‑year Management statements and the annual Q3 Shell accounts.
  • Complete the annual benchmarking exercise against industry standards, initiating governance processes to implement best practice updates.

Data & Systems

  • Own FCE’s version of the Group Reporting application (CE1), working closely with US/IT system teams.
  • Maintain the mapping and classification (IFRS codes) of SAP accounts reflected in FCE’s financial statements.
  • Participate in monthly Group Reporting change control meetings to ensure CE1 requirements are properly implemented by the consolidation team.
  • Work with the FCGBC Workiva team to further leverage tools to enhance FCE’s annual accounts.

Projects & Collaboration

  • Lead the implementation of IFRS 18 for FCE’s Annual Report and Accounts.
  • Provide accounting support and training to FCGBC and other European IFRS markets as needed.
  • Support annual reviews and updates of financial reporting desk procedures and policy statements.
  • Function as IFRS Accounting SME for new initiatives and projects, such as business restructuring or system implementations.
  • Complete ad‑hoc tasks that pertain to Financial Reporting.

What You’ll Bring

  • A professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
  • Sound technical knowledge and practical application of IFRS.
  • Experience preparing consolidated accounts.
  • Evidence of demonstrating Ford OS behaviours (Ford applicants).
  • A meticulous, mindful approach to your own work.
  • Ability to work independently and accurately under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work both within a team and on your own initiative, juggling multiple priorities with adaptability.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal/written communication across all levels of the organisation.
  • PC literacy, including strong Excel and data tool skills.

Desirable

  • SAP/Group Reporting system experience.
  • Project management experience.
