Ford Campbell Freedman is one of Yorkshire’s leading independent firms of accountants and business advisors who have been providing a full service accountancy offering to our clients for over 90 years. An excellent opportunity within our audit team for an enthusiastic individual who is seeking to develop a rewarding career in the accounting and auditing field, working towards an internationally recognised qualification (ACA) as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.
You will join our young, driven team of auditors, benefitting from their experience. With a combination of on the job and specific, bespoke training you will quickly gain responsibility and become one of our advisors, trusted and relied upon by our wide ranging client base. Working primarily in our Audit team you will undertake the different sections of an audit file, developing a detailed understanding of our clients' businesses. You will also learn all about the preparation of financial accounts and tax computations, ensuring work is completed in line with budget and required deadlines, as well as the interpretation of financial data and the intricacies of accounting legislation.
Alongside this you will develop your ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with professional contacts across a broad spectrum of businesses.
Successful candidates for this role will require:
- A degree at a 2:1 or better
- Achieved at least 120 UCAS points from three A-Level subjects or equivalent
- Strong GCSE results in both English and Maths
- A current right to work in the UK
In addition you will need to be enthusiastic, hard-working and personable. A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, access to a car and a full UK driving license would be advantageous.
