About the Role
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Contract) to support Forcys (formerly Chelsea Technologies) in the delivery of key defence-sector engineering projects approaching final completion stages. Forcys is a leading provider of advanced maritime defence technology, specialising in underwater sensing, tracking, and domain awareness solutions. Building on decades of engineering expertise, we deliver mission-critical capability to defence customers worldwide. This role will focus on completing outstanding mechanical engineering tasks across two active projects, ensuring successful delivery to specification and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete outstanding mechanical engineering tasks on active defence projects
- Produce 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks
- Ensure all drawings meet BS8888 standards and internal quality requirements
- Support the ordering and specification of prototype and production parts
