British Forces Resettlement Services (BFRS) is a Social Enterprise that has supported the Armed Forces Community since 2009.
We connect Service Leavers, Veterans, Reservists and military families with employers, training providers and career opportunities through our national Careers Fairs, online services, employer partnerships and targeted recruitment campaigns.
We are a small team with a national reach, and as BFRS continues to grow and develop, we are looking for an exceptional person to join us as our Business Operations Coordinator.
The Role
This isn't a traditional administration role.
We are looking for someone who is confident, organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership.
Working closely with our Office Manager and across the wider BFRS team, you will help keep the day-to-day operation running effectively while supporting our clients, members of the Armed Forces Community, events and projects.
One day you could be speaking with a national employer or supporting a client campaign; another you could be updating our CRM, helping an Armed Forces member with an enquiry or preparing materials for one of our Careers Fairs.
We are a small organisation, so we need someone who is adaptable, willing to get involved and, importantly, someone who follows things through.
For the right person, there is genuine opportunity to develop the role and take on greater responsibility as BFRS continues to grow.
You will:
- Act as a professional and confident point of contact for BFRS clients and members of the Armed Forces Community by telephone and email.
- Manage enquiries and shared inboxes, ensuring actions are dealt with or passed to the right person and followed through.
- Support the Business Development and Events teams with client activity, campaigns and projects.
- Coordinate meetings, documentation, information and follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate information across our CRM and other business systems.
- Add and manage jobs, courses, company information and other content on BFRS systems.
- Support client onboarding, order processing and ongoing account administration.
- Chase outstanding information, deadlines and actions from both internal colleagues and external clients.
- Make outgoing calls to clients, AFC members and event attendees where required.
- Support the planning and delivery of BFRS Careers Fairs and other events.
- Help prepare event documentation, exhibitor information, badges, lanyards, signage and other materials.
- Attend selected BFRS events, supporting registration and providing assistance to exhibitors and attendees.
- Create straightforward materials using Canva, including QR codes, signage and other event or client assets.
- Help maintain accurate, useful CRM data and identify information that needs updating.
- Provide general business and administrative support across the organisation.
- Look for better, simpler and more efficient ways of doing things.
As part of a small team, everyone occasionally gets involved in practical tasks. We therefore want someone equally comfortable speaking professionally with an important client and rolling their sleeves up to help the team prepare for a busy event.
Β£45,000 plus car / car allowance, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension, bonus, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits including cycle to work scheme
