The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
A really fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Technical LEV Engineer to carry out installations (including temporary heating, environmental monitoring, temporary fume and ventilation LEV installations, Envirohub water treatment) around the UK. These are mainly on construction sites and other industrial locations.
Some installs require an overnight stay and typically, the installations take no longer than a day and are for hire equipment of a temporary nature. You will also be required to assist with equipment breakdowns and workshop/warehouse activities at Dartford base.
Training and a company van will be provided.
Applications from suitably qualified ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Marines) will be particularly relevant for this position but other qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
Main Responsibilities:
- Carry out on-site technical engineering installations around the UK on all Company equipment types
- Liaise with and instruct site agents on the use of equipment
- Carry out equipment breakdowns as necessary
- Maintain a high level of site health and safety awareness
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment in the \’ready for hire\’ process
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience in a Mechanical & Electrical field
- Navy or shipyard experience desirable
- Submarine experience desirable
- Good understanding of current health & safety regulations
- Knowledge of Occupational Hygiene Hazards and Controls desirable
- Knowledge of temporary ventilation systems beneficial.
- Electrical Qualification beneficial
- Good IT skills and communication skills (verbal & written)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Previous/current UK security clearance (essential)
- Full Driving Licence essential
- Commitment to learning (i.e. BOHS P600/P601 modules, SSSTS)
