An IT consultancy specialising in providing data-driven solutions in the supply chain sector is seeking a Solutions Architect to work with colleagues to ensure IT architectural designs meet strategic goals and project-specific requirements. The Solutions Architect will have proven experience developing solutions to business issues and problems and will have a strong understanding of cloud-native design, integration patterns, and architectural frameworks. Additionally, you will have experience working with a major cloud platform and a background in software engineering, infrastructure, or systems design.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop high-level and detailed solution architectures
Collaborate with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and external partners
Work across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring architectural consistency and alignment with enterprise standards
Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through to delivery and transition
Identify and mitigate architectural risks and technical challenges
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and industry best practices
Support the development of architectural governance and documentation standards
Support day-to-day operations and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when required
Provide general administrative and practical support
Contribute to continuous improvement
Maintain a proactive and dependable approach
Travel to customer sites and other locations when required
Knowledge, skills and qualifications:
Essential:
Proven experience as a Solution Architect across multiple technology domains and projects
Strong understanding of architectural frameworks, integration patterns, and cloud-native design
Experience with at least one major cloud platform (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to balance strategic vision with practical implementation constraints
Background in software engineering, infrastructure, or systems design
Desirable:
Relevant certifications (e.g. TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect)
Salary: £75,000 to £95,000 DOE
