Overview

A waste management company is seeking a Site Supervisor to ensure the site is safe and running efficiently. The Site Supervisor will have experience using large material handlers, have strong managerial and health and safety skills. In addition, the Site Supervisor will be able to drive company KPIs, develop and build a motivated workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a safe and compliant working environment for all team members
  • Build a high-performing, motivated workforce through staff engagement, PDRs, and succession planning
  • Drive company KPIs
  • Serve as a key link between the site and senior management
  • Lead by example and proactively drive a Safety-First Culture in line with Company SHEQ policies
  • Monitor and continuously improve daily site operations
  • Ensure compliance with waste management licences, consents, and all statutory requirements.
  • Develop a process-focused culture with strong problem-solving at all levels
  • Oversee plant maintenance, inspections, and critical spares management
  • Drive employee training and ensure all competency requirements are met

Knowledge, skills and qualifications

Essential:

  • Wheeled material handler/360 Grab Operator experience
  • Hands-on experience with plant and equipment operations
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities

Desirables:

  • Experience within the waste management and processing sector
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification
  • Experience in a supervisor role

Salary: Β£32,000 to Β£35,000 DOE + OT
