A defence solutions provider is seeking a Simulation Operator to help train and support the British Military on the use of CATT simulators and their exercises. The Simulation Operator will need to have a good military background and a strong understanding of British military doctrine and tactics. In addition, be a good communicator, instructor, problem solver, and be able to adapt to new changes. Applications from ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged Key Responsibilities: Generate, edit and modify CATT-related exercises Set up and maintain simulations Troubleshoot and ensure the simulator and its programs are running smoothly Set up tactical challenges for exercising troops Report any faults and observations Assist the military and LM during visits Conduct twin site exercises with partnered sites Knowledge, skills and qualifications: Essential: Ability to teach CATT systems to military personnel Have an understanding of British and other military doctrine, tactics, structure, equipment capabilities Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office Is a problem solver and able to adapt at short notice Ability to work unsupervised and in a team Salary: £36,400 Benefits: Training, Private medical (covers family), Life Assurance, 25 days hols, Pension (4%)
