A company specialising in supplying industrial grade digital memory solutions is seeking a Sales Engineer to develop new business opportunities within the UK and Irish markets. The Sales Engineer will have a strong background in a technical role such as IT, electrical or electronic engineering, as well as have a demonstrable sales background and be able to travel to other locations in the UK and Germany. In addition, the Sales Engineer will have great relationship building, communication and analytical skills. Applications from ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively develop new business opportunities within the UK and Ireland markets
- Build strong relationships with key manufacturing partners and existing customers
- Support growth opportunities and initiatives through trade shows and targeted outreach
- Develop deep knowledge of the product lines, enabling effective customer solutions
- Engage and qualify potential customers at trade shows
- Support international trade show efforts in collaboration with European colleagues
- Nurture all leads through phone calls, emails, and targeted follow-ups
- Utilise LinkedIn and online tools to identify and connect with potential customers
- Master technical systems for managing the sales pipeline and campaigns
- Generate customer quotes and support operational tasks when needed
- Become an integral part of a small, dynamic team, contributing to all areas of the business as required
Knowledge, skills and qualifications:
Essential:
- Have experience in a technical role in either IT, electrical or electronics
- Good with IT systems and technological concepts
- Have proven experience achieving sales targets
- Be willing to travel to tradeshows in the UK and Germany
- Have great relationship building, communication and analytical skills
Desirables:
- Experience with Keap or other CRM systems
Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 DOE
