A leading supplier of pallet racking and shelving in the Southeast is seeking an Installation Technician to assist the Team Leader in delivering efficient and precise installation and repair services. The Installation Technician will have a full UK driving licence, be physically fit to lift heavy materials, accurately read technical drawings, and ensure a safe working area. In addition, the Installation Technician will have excellent teamwork and organisational skills. Applications from ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities- Install and repair pallet racking, shelving and mezzanine floors
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Assist with site preparation, including ensuring a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality
- Maintain all tools and equipment in good working order; report any damages or malfunctions promptly
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to minimise risks during installation activities
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working at height
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
