A company specialising in industrial compressed air products is seeking a Field Service Engineer to maintain, repair and install compressed air systems and equipment for their clients in the Bedford area. The Field Service Engineer must have experience with compressed air engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, and have a UK driving licence. In addition, the Field Service Engineer will be able to work on their own initiative, have good teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities- Maintain, repair and install compressed air systems and related equipment
- Perform diagnostic tests using standard tools and techniques
- Work alone at customers' sites; larger jobs will require working with other engineers
- Build trust with customers
- Log accurate job reports on a timely basis
- Collaborate with team members and other departments
- Report to Service Manager
- Proven hands-on experience in a similar Service Engineer role with electrical and mechanical skills with relevant qualifications
- Experience in scheduled maintenance, diagnosing breakdowns, and making repairs
- Proven experience with compressed air systems and associated equipment
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable to ideas and change
- Experience with using MS software, including Outlook & Office 365
