Our client is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and overhaul onsite generators. Field Service Engineers need to have previous experience with servicing and maintaining generators or gas/diesel engines. Our client is also looking to hire on attitude and needs a solid, customer-facing engineer with a “can-do” attitude who is willing to get the job done independently. The area of work is mostly in the southern half of England. Applications from ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all customer work associated with the service, maintenance and overhauling of generators located on customer sites
  • Complete all allocated work within the most cost-efficient timescales
  • Complete all relevant paperwork clearly and concisely, ensuring all timesheets and other paperwork are submitted on time
  • Adhere to company quality standards, policies and procedures
  • Meet customer expectations on service delivery and professional standards
  • Utilise company reporting procedures for any job outcomes, concerns, etc.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience with servicing and maintaining generators and/or diesel engines
  • Computer literacy to include Office 365, Word, and Excel
  • Good organisational & communication skills
  • Excellent customer-facing skills
  • UK Driving Licence

Desirable

  • Experience in electrical fault finding

Hours

  • 37.5 hours per week – Monday through Friday only with flexible working
  • No on-call or weekend callouts
  • Time off in lieu

Salary: £40,000 per annum
