A company specialising in water treatment systems and services is seeking a Field Service Engineer to travel to areas within the UK and install and service a range of commercial and industrial products. The Field Service Engineer will have completed a level 3 mechanical engineering apprenticeship or have experience with water purification. In addition, the FSE will have a full UK driving licence, be happy to do field servicing work, and is flexible on doing occasional overnight work if needed. Applications from ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged Key Responsibilities: Install, commission, service and fault-find on water purification equipment to meet customer specifications Log relevant details on the job undertaken, and ensure all systems and documentation are signed Look after the company van/stock and do daily/monthly checks Ensure health and safety is upheld and assist in the implementation of QMS systems compliant with ISO 9001 Continue to train with new systems and equipment Communicate with the customer and provide an excellent service Knowledge, skills and qualifications: Essential: Attained C&Gs qualifications or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Minimum 5 GCSEs including A*-C grade in English, Maths and Science Have a comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical regulations Is knowledgeable about health and safety regulations Has a full and clean UK driving licence Willing to travel and is flexible for occasional overnights Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills Be a quick learner, have high standards, and have strong attention to detail Have strong decision-making skills with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively Have the ability to work well under pressure and meet targets Be self-motivated and be a team player Desirable: CSCS/JIB UK-PMES Card or a valid “Pass” on the Health and Safety Exam Water Purification methods & performance PASMA Scaffolding Towers Certificate Emergency First Aid at Work Manual Handling Working at Height Electrical Isolation Risk Assessments Salary: £36,000 to £38,000 DOE Benefits: company vehicle, company smartphone, pension, training, uniform and PPE, career progression, bonus opportunities
