Force24 is one of the fastest-growing tech companies in the north, helping ambitious marketing teams drive smarter engagement, stronger ROI and measurable business growth. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a Marketing Automation Strategy Manager to join our Customer Success team at an exciting stage in our journey.
As Marketing Automation Strategy Manager, you will take ownership of platform adoption and customer marketing strategy across a portfolio of SME accounts, acting as the primary strategic point of contact and trusted advisor for your clients. Your core objective is to ensure customers achieve their business and marketing goals using the Force24 platform. Creating and implementing tailored customer marketing strategies that drive adoption, improve campaign performance, and deliver measurable commercial outcomes. You will lead all business reviews, proactively identify ARR expansion and project-based growth opportunities, and oversee the successful delivery of marketing automation programmes across your accounts. You will act as the voice and advocate of your clients internally, ensuring their objectives are clearly represented and aligned with internal teams.
This role requires a balance of strategic marketing expertise, technical fluency in marketing automation, and commercial acumen to ensure clients are not only achieving measurable value from Force24, but continuously investing in and expanding their use of the platform.
Key Responsibilities- Own platform adoption and marketing automation strategy for a defined portfolio of SME clients, identifying under-utilised capability and building improvement roadmaps tailored to each client's vertical, data maturity, and commercial objectives.
- Lead the creation and implementation of customer marketing strategies grounded in the client's business goals, audience behaviours, and buying cycle, not generic best practice.
- Act as the primary strategic point of contact for assigned accounts, building trusted relationships with marketing, CRM, and commercial stakeholders.
- Conduct structured account reviews and health-checks to baseline current usage, identify drop-off points, and prioritise where strategic intervention will have the greatest commercial impact.
- Translate Force24 product capability into practical strategies that map to each client's specific business context, growth ambitions, and customer journey.
- Design and oversee the build of multi-channel automated journeys using email, SMS and behavioural triggers to ensure campaigns are structured for performance and pipeline outcomes from the outset.
- Guide clients through the development of nurture programmes, re-engagement sequences, event-driven automation, and lead scoring frameworks.
- Advise on campaign architecture focused on cadence, audience logic, channel selection, and content strategy, all aligned to the client's buying cycle and customer journey.
- Review and sense-check client campaign outputs, providing constructive expert feedback that drives continuous improvement over time.
- Lead client conversations on data strategy, how contact data should be structured, maintained, and used to power segmentation, personalisation, and channel orchestration.
- Help clients build and apply audience segments that reflect real behavioural, demographic, and lifecycle signals, moving them beyond basic list-sends.
- Support the implementation of dynamic content, personalisation rules, and conditional logic within campaigns and automation workflows.
- Identify data quality issues that are limiting campaign effectiveness and work with clients to address them, whether through hygiene processes, import logic, or CRM integration.
- Lead all Business Reviews (BRs) and strategic planning sessions across your portfolio presenting performance insights, value delivered, and forward-looking recommendations.
- Develop structured account growth plans aligned to client objectives, with clear documentation of actions, opportunities, and strategic next steps.
- Proactively identify ARR expansion and project-based growth opportunities, including additional Force24 capability such as NEXUS, Custom Objects, API integrations, and Force24OS services.
- Build and present value-based business cases for investment, clearly demonstrating ROI and future commercial impact to senior marketing and commercial stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Customer Success Lead on significant commercial opportunities and strategic account growth plans.
- Act as the voice of the customer internally, advocating for client needs and influencing product, process, and platform improvements.
- Oversee all projects and deliverables across your accounts, ensuring alignment with client objectives, timelines, and quality expectations.
- Lead internal discussions and provide clear, structured briefs to Project Management and delivery teams.
- Escalate significant risks or major commercial opportunities to the Customer Success Lead where appropriate.
- Work closely with Customer Success Managers, Project Management, Training, Support, and Product teams to ensure consistently exceptional delivery.
- Contribute insights that enhance customer engagement strategies and overall retention efforts across the CS team.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in marketing automation, CRM, email marketing strategy, or customer success within a SaaS, agency, or in-house marketing environment.
- Background in an agency, in-house at a brand with sophisticated marketing operations, or at a marketing automation / SaaS business in a client-facing or strategic role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing customer marketing strategies that drive adoption, engagement, and measurable commercial outcomes.
- Proven ability to lead ARR expansion and project-based commercial conversations at senior stakeholder level.
- Direct experience designing and executing multi-channel automated journeys, not just email, but SMS, social, and behavioural trigger logic.
- Strong working knowledge of how CRM and marketing automation platforms function such as data models, contact management, segmentation logic, automation triggers, and integrations.
- Confident around data with the ability to interpret contact and behavioural datasets, identify segmentation opportunities, and advise on data architecture that enables personalisation at scale.
- Able to bridge the gap between marketing strategy and technical implementation, you understand what's possible inside a platform and can communicate that clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Commercially aware and understand how marketing activity connects to pipeline, conversion, and retention outcomes with the ability to articulate this compellingly to clients and internally.
- Excellent communicator, written and verbally, with the credibility and presence to lead strategic and commercial conversations at senior marketing and C-suite levels.
- Genuinely curious about how businesses operate and what drives their marketing challenges, not just looking for a process to follow.
- Proactive in identifying problems and opportunities before clients raise them.
- UK resident with unrestricted right to work in the UK.
