Force Recruitment are partnered with a well-established multi-utility contractor operating across major EHV and HV cabling projects nationwide. They are looking to appoint a skilled Buyer to support procurement activities on a range of technically demanding power infrastructure schemes.
Role Overview
The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, and subcontractor services to support ongoing EHV/HV cabling projects. You’ll work closely with project and commercial teams to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement aligned with project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Procuring materials, equipment, and services for EHV/HV cabling projects
- Negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers and subcontractors
- Managing purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supply chain performance
- Building strong supplier relationships and identifying new supply partners
- Ensuring compliance with procurement processes and industry standards
- Supporting tendering teams with material pricing and supplier quotes
- Monitoring market trends and providing cost insights to the commercial team
About You
- Experience as a Buyer within utilities, power, electrical, or civil engineering
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
